My primary guidelines have always been to support the 'self esteem' of all individuals I've been fortunate to work with ... if people feel good about themselves then they can achieve the impossible. In parallel with this belief is also to realise the collaborative nature of learning and also that of self-directed learning as necessary life skills for 21st century citizens.
